Purpose of writing this piece

This article is written in support of the incisive rebuttal by Falcon to the virus of hate and malicious lies that were spread to tarnish the image of the former Ethiopian Air Force (EAF) by one Tesfaye Guebreab.

Having lived for three decades in Debre Zeit and forged very close ties professionally with the EAF – not to mention intimate friendship with some of its key leaders and members serving in various categories – I thought it my civic duty to write this piece in the belief that readers will judge the infiltrator journalist Tesfaye on just how much he knows about the former EAF given his claim he was born and raised in Bishoftu. The rebuttal by Falcon was written in Amharic and posted last week on Ethiomedia.com.

The children and grandchildren as well as relatives and friends of those illustrious heroes of the former EAF should not be made to feel descendants of indiscriminate killers misled by blatant and malicious lies such as the ones profusely spread by infiltrators of the likes of Tesfaye working covertly in concert with TPLF and Shaebia operatives because of their common aim to efface Ethiopia from the map of the world.

The new generation should know and pass on to the next generation the indisputable self-evident TRUTH that the former EAF fought against enemies hell bent to destroy Ethiopia and for that evil purpose these enemies were armed to the teeth with modern weapons purchased with petrodollar support of reactionary Arab countries traditionally unfriendly to Ethiopia.

Brief background to establishment of EAF

Notwithstanding His claim to divine right of kings and consequent insatiable love of power that led Him to cling on to it until old age as some say bordering on senility, Emperor Haile Selassie deserves a lot of credit in the modernization initiatives of Ethiopia, more so that successive regimes did worse in gross violation of human rights and mismanagement of national resources.

The EAFwas first established in Addis Ababa before it was moved to Bishoftu. His Majesty Emperor Haile Selassie laid the cornerstone in 1937 (Ethiopian Calendar) in Bishoftu (Debre Zeit) barely a year after the end of the raging flames of the Second World War died out. The inscription on the front of the Mess Hall for cadets overlooking the Military Parade Ground captured the establishment date in every photographs of the Monarch amid graduating classes. This writer proudly holds photographs of successive graduations over several years in his album. What a collection of photographs showing young Ethiopians of all ethnic groups (most of whom I had personally met) attesting to the sane policy of inclusivity right from the start.

Famous officers such as those mentioned by Falcon lined up every morning at the Parade Ground to honor the hoisting of the beloved Green-Yellow-Red Ethiopian Flag. Incidentally, there was no emblem on the flag. The flag with the emblem of the Lion of Judah was hand carried in a march past in front of the Monarch only at official graduation ceremonies.

Love for the Flag and Ethiopia was ingrained in the minds, hearts and souls of young cadets. General Amha Desta, Commander of EAF, was one of them and by far brilliant and distinguished as a professional soldier. He proved his qualities when he turned his gun on himself and paid the ultimate price; he was found dead clad with the Flag in one of the rooms of the Ministry of Defence following the failure of the coup plot against the coward Mengistu. That was a heroic deed by the General demonstrating love of ones Flag and Motherland, Ethiopia.

His Majesty single handedly, in the absence of support of the aristocracy or even outright opposition due to lack of aeronautical literacy, cultivated the development of aviation in Ethiopia, to wit: He established the EAF, Ethiopian Airlines and Ethiopian Civil Aviation Administration. Two of the most successful General Managers of the Airline were from the EAF as were two top administrators of Civil Aviation Administration. Officers and men of the EAF played key roles in the creation, management, and training of the internationally reputed Flying School as well as the Aircraft Maintenance Engineering School of the Airline. In short the EAF served as a source of manpower for many years for both organizations. An officer of the EAF was at one time at the helm of Ethiopian Electric Light and Power Authority and several others served in the Authority for many years. There were many other government administrations to which officers and numerous highly skilled technical experts were either seconded or transferred.

The Monarch was so proud, (and deservedly so) of His achievement that He brought Heads of State including Kwame Nkrumah of Ghana, Jomo Kenyatta of Kenya, Taffewa Ballewa of Nigeria et al for official visits to the EAF Base at Debre Zeit.

Community development initiative

Entirely of their own volition and mainly with their own resources, officers and rank-and-file employees of EAF set in motion community development schemes in Bishoftu (Debre Zeit) for which they earned high accolade. They developed the concept and the organizational structure that resulted in the construction of elementary schools such as at Keta and Delo as well as the famous Harar Meda Model School (combining elementary and secondary education programs) in the city of Debre Zeit. They contributed to water development efforts such as drilling boreholes to relieve the burden of women fetching water from long distances; sought advice from experts in Germany for those who dug ponds in which to accumulate water during the rainy season but were frustrated by the loss of water through cracks of the black-cotton basement.

I was honored for having been entrusted to serve as Secretary General in this noble undertaking.

Suffice it to say that His Excellency Ato Getahun Tessema said that the initiative of the EAF was one reason his Ministry of Social Community Development came into being. In sharp contrast, there were few who baselessly feared emergence of socialist tendency in the EAF.

Tenesa Teramed (Stand up and Stride)

Tenesa Teramed was the famous rallying song for change composed by members of the EAF. It was aired over the Voice of Ethiopia Radio for months in the aftermath of the Revolution in 1974. I was there purely by chance at the Cinema Hall of the EAF at Debre Zeit at the final audition of the verses and songs accompanied by uplifting musical melody. The message in Tenessa Teramed was a call for development, irrigation, unity based on equality irrespective of ethnic origin or religious creed.

It was in the premises of EAF at Debre Ziet that a mammoth crowd comprising men in uniform and civilians gathered to demand immediate formation of a civilian government and the return of the ruling Military Junta to barracks. It was at this point that Mengistu suspended the airing of Tenesa Teramed, threw some members of EAF to jail and grew strongly suspicious of EAF.

International Service

The Air Force units were dispatched to peace keeping operations in the Congo under the United Nations. It lost a jet fighter pilot in the forest there whose body was never recovered. Nigeria and Tanzania received assistance during their trouble with secessionists. Several African countries, including Somalia and groups struggling for liberation, were beneficiaries of the training facilities located at Debre Zeit.

Enthusiasm for learning

The Air Force had a sound training program for higher learning planned to produce a good number university graduates annually among others in engineering, legal, and management disciplines relevant to its operations. The library at Debre Zeit was only second to the Kennedy Library at the Haile Selassie University in terms of collection of books and other reading materials covering more than thirty (30) relevant fields of specializations to the operations of the Air Force. Moreover the library was richly stocked with books on history, social sciences, and humanities as well as abundant collection of writings about Ethiopia..

What is remarkable is that officers and non-commissioned officers were engaged en masse in self-development schemes through part-time education such as the ones offered by the Extension Program of the Haile Selassie University. There was a branch opened at Debre Zeit Town of which I was in charge. The branch enjoyed the support of EAF as the main beneficiary.

To enrich their knowledge further they established various clubs: Flying, Carpentry, Artifacts, Speech, Music, Sailing, Chess et al. Ashenafi Kebede, the renowned founder of the National Saint Yared School of Music was among others that came to Debre Zeit to give lessons to members of the Music Club. The football Team of the EAF was a darling to spectators in Addis Ababa both for the skill of the players and sportsmanship. Matches between saint George and the EAF’s Nib (Bee) invariably drew large to the Stadium in Addis.

It was my distinct honor and privilege to attend the unforgettable speech by a distinguished hero, Colonel Abdissa Aga sponsored by the Speech Club. I paid tribute to the distinguished hero in my piece posted on Ethiomedia.com some three years ago.

The point is that leaders and staff of former EAF were educated, cultured and sensitive to vital national interests and above all to issues of human rights. They often questioned what the threats to Ethiopia were for which they were being trained to deter or fight. They were quite capable of distinguishing between genuine dissidents and petrodollar supported mercenaries at home bent on betraying Ethiopia. It is a matter of record that the EAF refused to take sides in internal conflict, to wit: 1) in the coup of 1960 led by B/General Mengistu Neway prompting the US Embassy in Addis to exert pressure in favor of the Monarch; 2) pleading with the Monarch to look into the cause of civil disobedience staged in one of the provinces to which He agreed and later disciplined administrative officials concerned and; 3) refused to strike distinct military targets in Addis Ababa during the failed coup against Mengistu Haile Mariam

Inclusivity

The Oromo dissident in Bale Province was pleasantly surprised to see Oromos in key positions when he landed at the Debre Zeit Air Force Base following reconciliation with the Imperial regime through the mediation effort of General Jagama Kello – a celebrated hero and revered Oromo Ethiopian in his own right. Dormitories in which cadets of all ethnic origins slept without distinction and got to know one another more intimately were named after the provinces.

On the whole the composition of manpower of the EAF reflected the background and ethnic origin of all Ethiopians. If anything Eritreans were favored more than others in terms of proportional representation.

Unfortunately, TPLF and Shaebia deliberately created the myth of demonic ‘Amhara’ oppressor for the demonic reason we now know. These messengers of Lucifer are now bankrupt and their sinister journalist cannot save them through his sugar–coated writings in which the venom of hate is concealed. The Oromos, Amharas, Guraghes, Tigres, Kambatas, Hadias, Wollaitas, Sidamas et al have awoken to the truth that only unity and mutual respect will guarantee their future.

The renegades

Coveted positions of Director of Personnel Recruitment, Chief of Staff (second in command of EAF), and Commander of the EAF were in the same period held by senior officers of Eritrean origin. The commander of the Air Wing at Asmara was Eritrean. There were pilots and technical officers serving in fighter and transport squadrons, intelligence services, communications (transmitting top secret coded messages) and management.

It was at the time that Tenesa Teramed was being aired nationally and Ziade Barre was launching his invasion that the chief of staff deserted the country; a pilot sped away with a bomber jet aircraft to Somalia as a present to Ziade Barre; the chief of cryptic services and many others joined Shaebia and led an attacking force to capture the Air Base in Asmara – a saga hard to believe until their corpses were seen strewn on the runway.

To the best of my knowledge no member of any other group deserted to Somalia or internal dissident groups hatching separation.

In all fairness, the Commander of EAF of Eritrean origin at the time was a true Ethiopian hero with proven distinguished service. Many other Eritreans were and still are no less Ethiopians than the rest of us.

Once beaten twice shy

Groups claiming adherence to Marxist Leninist ideology mushroomed everywhere in the aftermath of the Ethiopian Revolution in 1974. Even children under the age of ten were being indoctrinated; they were made to distribute flyers of one leftist group or another; brought home from school demands to their parents; refused to attend the traditional flag hoisting ceremony; some teen agers even carried small fire arms and participated in white terror.

A shocking episode lingering in my memory is that of a group of children perched in the chassis of a scrapped truck wishing in raised voice for a day that Ziade Barre would come to set them free! Unbelievable but true! Certainly the EPLF infiltrators in collaboration with immature EPRP operatives were responsible for this crime of brain-washing under-aged children to turn against their parents and their motherland Ethiopia.

I contend Tesfaye was and is now an infiltrator in the service of Shaebia. His sinister motive must be stopped.

So my fellow Ethiopians, be ware of this ethnic-poison dispenser in sheep’s clothing entertaining you with sugar-coated writings in which sinister plot to divide and weaken Ethiopia is concealed. The old adage: Once beaten twice shy should serve as lesson.

Lastly, I wish to state that even in so-called mature democracies mistakes are made in military operations due to inadequate or misleading intelligence data. The case of the sorrowful death of civilians at Hawzeen is extremely important that it has to be thoroughly investigated for the sake of truth and reconciliation.

Working for the release of Birtukan and all political prisoners is top priority!

No more political prisoners in Ethiopia!

LONG LIVE ETHIOPIA!!!

Oh! its an eye opener to find out The air force library was seconded the kennedy library. And also astonishing to know the force was highly regarded as an emblem of civilization during a specific era. Its all good also to know what has been scribbled in so far pin pointing the value and portfolio of a very impoverished country’s asset well known in protecting and securing the “tzars and derg’s” well being as opposed to equivalently focus on to other areas of infrastructures that could help maintain the country’s socio-economic development! Here is what befallen before our reality: every one has put himself/herself categorically in what each system requires to as an item which can keep its value in the eye of its seller. when an item as human though speaks in terms of others who set up their own value, the item itself is conditioned to validate itself in accordance with the sight of others. i wish the writer of this article can come up with his own self-reliant story other than what he is biased about especially when he is obliged himself to write about ” the infiltrator” journalist. I am so far more impressed by Tesfaye G/ab’s works than any pundits who strive for self acclaim. What tesfaye has done is so far exposing the malicious system of weyane, but as to why few of his opponents write against him unless they are weyane is beyond my comprehension. What one should or could do against authority who he/she serve for sometime and publicly denounce the service they ushered was in defiance of public interest? What could Tesfaye do more than exposing the system which in any other way we would like to oppose? In what fashion can we embrace such people like Tesfaye in order for us to awaken people during this struggle? We can’t take the people’s struggle away and make it a subjective case. Our criticism now days do not draw any line whatsoever. The writer’s self criticism even about EPRP emanates from politically motivated mind does not suffice a penny. why such and such impressions necessitate individuals to jot even a sentence is not a timely matter. But my cynicism confirms to such implication is the other way around. Does weyane engage a lot in conducting or transmuting such information just to divide and confuse people and parties by defamation in disguise? If not, why so is then the significance of such article smearing those in defiant of tyrants just to give a high five to one entity-particularly The Air force, during the derg regime missed 95% of its target and wasted the ethiopian capital on barrel land? Was it one aspect of a fallen-great endeavor as to why glorified or just to appease those contribute to its foundation? No doubt, i would give a thumbs up to the foundation; but foundation must have a purpose. What role the Air-force played during the derg administration was an open secret. They would do whatever is necessary to defend the country from falling in the hands of Shabia and Weyane? Let the writer tell if the Air force in fact was combating for national pride, who cares about its where about in terms of aviation or administration. It was founded to defend and protect the country from harms way, but the result was the other way around. Let the writer stead of glorifying something, let him be fully aware of the purpose in which that something is founded for. Its then too bad for the country fully equipped with such kind of Force to lose a battle and fallen under the knees of two cannibals up until this day. what do u make of this?

Thank for that historical perspective of the vanguard of EAF of the Unity, Territorial Integrity and Sovereignity of Ethiopia, which fell under the forces of Disintegration of TPLF and EPLF. This gives a historical perspective for both the young and the old generation of Ethiopians, so to help align themselves with the positive forces of integration.

In the last 18 years, that has developed into a multi-layered, hirarchical political model of TPLF/eprdf, the so-called pro democratic/moderate forces of Medrek (Forum for Democratic Dialogue, consisting UDJP, the loyalist opposition parties and Tigrai Harena, with ethnic agenda forming an alter ego/mirror image of TPLF/eprdf, as Tigrai harena/Medrek (conglomerates of loyalist opposition parties as teltafi parties to Tigrai Harena). This newly formed political model either sustains or replaces the TPLF/eprdf regime, while maintaining the status quo, thus adding to the negative forces of disintegration of Ethiopia, with the positive forces of integration of AEUP, EPRP, Ethiopiawinet, etc.

it is against this background of EAF of His majesty’s and the Dergue era, that EAF was maintaining the Unity, Territorial Intergrity and Sovereignty of Ethiopia, and your response to Tesfaye Gebrab’s message of ethnic-based politics, inciting conflicts between the major ethnic groups is no more than an agent of TPLF and EPLF, with pretext of divuging secrets about TPLF, puts matters into perspective for the new and old generation of Ethiopians.

Dearest Ababya: at times I feel that you are an honest Ethiopian who cares for the sake of the Ethiopian people and the whole region in general; HOWEVER, here you are again showing your imature self. What the people of Ethiopia and Ethiopia are going through have nothing to do with shaebia or the former masters of the weyane mafia family. It is the weyane mafia family who turn the clock backwards and taken the whole beautiful people and country back to the future for their own fullfilment and narrow brains. In my humble opinion I believe some of the TPLF leadership were on the right track ones the derg was collapsed but thanks to their imature leadership and many years of aiga jungle they failed to advance. What Ethiopia and Ethiopians are witnessing by the mafia weyane families are rule of the aiga jungle that is spreading from Addis all the way to your hood! and above all what makes these thugs so lethal to Ethiopia and Ethiopians existense is they are willing to trade anything Ethiopian for a dollar here and there; including human trafficking. So my friend Robel, yes shaebia may have something to do with the dismantling of the derg but the sole responsibilities of Ethiopia’s distruction lies in the hands of weyane, Meles and his traitor boss Bereket. In the end blaming shaebia for Ethiopia and Ethiopians misery of today will make look more weyane and their beneficiaries! I strongly believe the people of Ethio-Eritrea are tired of accusation and counter accusation by their governments and what they want is just PEACE, RESPECT, CO-EXISTENCE, AND NOT EVEN AID!

Tesfaye Gebreab is a proud Ethiopian . He has never claimed to be an Eritrean unless he stated that his parents were from Eritrea. Please let’s be fair . The case of EAF is that they don’t deserve any single respect as they have done none to the Ethiopian people . If they had fought for their country bravely ,we wouldn’t have fallen in the hands of woyanes . Shame on that damn air force …

    FRESTIDIQ,

You are also tarnishing the Ethiopian air force only to pay your ‘tribute’ to Tesfaye G/AB. The EAF was the strongest and the most effective of its kind in Africa. It has played a vital role in defending the sovereignity of Ethiopia during the Ethio-Somali war. It used to have highly professional, skilled, and talented pilots, technicians and leaders who had recieved great admiration from the external world too. Some of them are still engaged in various activities and are contributing to the development of the country despite the intimidation and unfriendly environment.

You try to speak very high of Tesfay G/Ab whereas down playing the former heroic members of EAF. As far as I understand, Tesfaye is an opportunist who become a member of the former Ethiopian army to become a journalist, who later on surrendered and volunteered to become a member of TPLF (though he could escape like his friend did) because he is born of Eritrean parents, who continued to serve the TPLF-led government and amassed his fortune for sometime while being involved in the atrocities of TPLF in his capacities, who later on defected because the situation after the Ethio-Eritrean war were no longer comforting for cadres with Eritrean blood, and finaly he turned in to a patriotic Ethiopian who claims to be a number one enemy of TPLF. This is simply what he describes himself in his latest book, not my own creation. Most of his accounts in the latest book are also unbelievable stories though you may argue that it anyway denounces or exposes TPLF. In summary, I don’t see a reliable and strong personality of a patriotic indivdiual in Tesfaye G/AB.

Guest, hi pal, I guess….. you are lost in translation or may succumb into a futile course; or may want to circumvent the essence of my point. shall i present my argument in different style other than citing the name “tesfaye” who i believe has become more of a talking point to you and your likes? The fortress where you are ambushing just to attack a man in his literary work proofs his proficiency and surpass your intelligence is subject for more counter-attack. I am not here to appease the journalist’s talent and courage, however, acknowledging what damage he cause to traitors and public-enemies shouldn’t go unnoticed. I must admit “weyane” is much more cognizant of this fact. i want to be assertive and contextually prudent as to why i am supporting such works alike ” the journalist’s memoir” and other documents written by ex-TPLF cadres and sympathizers. To know what is going on around the inner core members of The brutal TPLF, and unveiling their diabolical nature from their inception up until now is considerably important. If that is considered as ” paying tribute”, as you spit it out, to tesfaye; i would say either you are technically sabotaging by taking advantage of our complex nature of opposition. I know in fact , though weyane is our enemy, there are a number of organizations stood against weyane for different reason. i don’t have to exhaust that point-if you are a genuine ethiopian- you would know what i mean by that. In the case of the Ethiopian Air Force, my take is that they never done a good job in various fronts. They had been mistaken animals for weyane or shabia! They dropped that shit on farm lands as though it were enemies’ camp. The double-standard sort of mission culminated its own demise. The most infiltrated Force as such was this Force who didn’t make a good use of its potential. They had a poor political understanding as to why weyane and shabia were fighting against the Ethiopians, thus were having a vain sugar coated sympathy toward and at last hasten up their own death. i am still furious for the very reason Derg left the country and its people for the most vicious elements. These days, we are witnessing even some former members of the Derg administration and the national army take a pride in “defeat”; what is more worse is they are still adamant protecting the old perished house. Have they ever asked ” what should we have done” to protect the national integrity of the country before even pointing finger at others.? some fearful and corrupted officers of the army at last cooperating with their old enemy. how come? And finally, i would like to say to those hasty individuals run up and down, inadvertently support weyane by disparaging people stood against its system, must be pinched at the tip of their “milas”.

Thank you for enlightning us with the history of EAF but I don’t understand the comment mixing Eritrea or Shaebia here. I will tell you this actually Eritrea is Ethiopia and defender of the country until they are told guys like you they are not and opt for independence from you but the truth is not from Ethiopia,

    TO YESHI

What a mindless woman of the century are you? How can you conclusively asserted that the fall of Ethiopia is because of the unproven performance of the air force in defending Ethiopa from either of Weyane, EPLF or Somalian aggression? How many Ethiopian Heros had fallen by the Petro-Dollar missile of IRAQ that continously supplied to Eriteria? How dare to write such nonsense comment both to undermine our defense force
and the national pride? DID ANYONE KILLED AT HAWZEN in Tigrai due to the conspiracy orchesterated by MELES, SEYOUM MESFIN AND SEBEHT NEGA.

REMEMBER, THEOSE PEOPLE WHO DO EVIL AND THE AGENTS PROPOGATE AGAINST ETHIOPIAN INTEREST WILL VANISH BUT NEVER ETHIOPIA. DONT WORK TO DEMORALIZE THE LIVING AND THE DEAD TO SATISFY YOUR BOSSES AT A DISTANCE.

    Dear Mateos

I merely stated irrefutable historical facts of the 1970s. Lion’s portion of petrodollar support went to Isaias. Suffering Eritreans and Ethiopians in exile are open to the truth with determination to correct past mistakes and live in harmony at least as good neighbors and eventual federation because they are bound by blood, culture and common history.

    FRETSIDIQ,

First of all I shall tell you that there is no a single piece of story in Tesfaye’s book that really made the slightest damage on TPLF. Why? because the Ethiopian people know every detail of the wrongs of TPLF narrated in Tesfaye’s book. For some of the stories, the Ethiopian people even know a more precise and realistic version. Believe me there is nothing new in his book except for his manipulations and propagandist twistings in the book. Tesfaye is not my main concern at all, however I support Robele’s critic of Tesfaye’s article, because I believe that all Tesfaye’s writings have sinister and non-genuine motives.

We can talk in general about the faliings of the Derg as a government. But there is no point in picking some segments of the Army and tarnish their history citing few anecdotal evidences here and there. I still believe that the EAF has many glorious history as do other divisions of the former Ethiopian army. As a matter of fact, EAF is the most hated division of the former Ethiopian army by both TPLF and Shabia, why? I leave the answer for you.

You can believe that Tesfaye’s book has been a big blow to the TPLF-led government and it has exposed the atrocities of Woyane. But, I assure you that it is very untimely and self-aggrandazing piece of writing. It didn’t and will not have any impact on Ethiopian politics.

I found most of the comments disgusting. How can you praise the EAF that is responsible for bombing innocent people?

    Isaias Jr.

I agree with you.As you said, it doesn’t exist any more thanks to our brave fighters.

    Response to the 15th Commentator:
    (ለ አሰር አመስተግናው ተችሀት አከራቢ)

Dead fellow Ethiopian: I do (as others surely do) understand your genuine comment why people advance their comment in English for the book written in Amharic. The answer is simple and self evident. I was trying to write in Amharic but I never finish one full line of sentencewithout error because the combination of Keys you press is difficult than pressing same letter to write English. For example, I was attempted to write this comment in Amharic but the word I wrote is not readable
as much as what proper writing is. See the example that I wrote in Amharic. If I couldn’t write the title so properly, so how the entire comment expected to readable without proble.

THEREFORE, THOSE WHO WRITE IN ENGLISH ARE NOT DOING SO TO IMPRESS OTHERS (OR SHOW INTELLECTUALISM) ON THE LANGUAGE THAT IS NOT OURS BUT FOR THE ONLY STATED REASON ABOVE. THANKS

Your claim that Tesfaie is a spy of EPLF reminds me of what happened to Leulseged Hailu, Negga and other many Air force soldiers who were sent to jail for more than 7 years just because their parents come from Eritrea arrounf the time you were reharssing ‘ Ternesa Teramed”. The difference in their case is that their parents were ”SEMETERU HAMASIEN’ who fought for ethiopia and had not seen the land of their ancesstors.

It has become customery now a days arround ethiopian scolars to blame shabia for everything that went wrong in Ethiopia. Balna miat aitalu yeshabiya eje alebet! Shabia, as bad as it is, never can be the cause of ethiopia’s problem. Do not underestimate your country and people!

Anonymous and Mateos! Nobody who stands for Unity, Territorial Integrity and Sovereignty of Ethiopia and freedom of Ethiopians spares the blame for EPLF. EPLF and TPLF spearheaded a libration movements that threatened the the unity and integrity of Ethiopia, when other movements were engaged in a class struggle, they were engaged in liberating their ethnic group from the the colony of Ethiopia. The blame to these movements does not reflect on the majority of people from Eritrea and/or Tigrai, who are Ethiopians. Based on all perspectives of the features of these movements and their leaders TPLF and EPLF are the two sides of the same coin as TPLF/eprdf and Medrek are the two sides of the same coin.
