    Mr. Ahmed:

The web page is to put (if you have one)your comment about Amnesty International’s effort in causing the release of Birtukan Medeksa, and not to use this website as an extension link to Elias Kifle’s webservices. DONT Worry Isaias Afeworki is paying his expense.

    TO ASEGED

I hate Elias Kifle for a reason and it is not your business to know.
If you want to communicate with the public at large, first you need to improve your English writing skill so that you can be understood. Your English is bad and even not compatable the new boy I have adapted from Ethiopia , age 9, grade 4. When you have improved your English, he will communicate with you but at this time you are not compatable with him.

I am deeply grateful grateful to Amnesty International Dutch chapter for their campaign on behalf of Bertukan.I am sure it raises the profile of her case even higher.
Not surprisingly, this is in line with the organization’s long and admirable tradition of advancing the cause of human rights and its just representation of those people whom it calls prisoners of conscience.Yesterday,Amnesty Amnesty was at loggerheads with the Dergue regime when it spoke against the human rights violation in the Tigray,Eritrea and other parts of Ethiopia.Today,it is at loggerheads with Meles’s and the Eritrean regimes for speaking out against the massive human rights violations taking place in the two countries.Despite its misrepresentation and even vilification by those exposed through its criticism of their poor human rights record,Amnesty’s human rights research and findings are metculous, highly respected and politically neutral.

Thanks to Amnesty’s arduous and unstinting efforts to promote the cause human rights,it has now become a celebrated thing to be seen to stand for human rights where even dictators like Meles are forced to pay lip service to.

    Let us intensify the struggle.

Externally, let us approach other chapters of AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL and similar human rights organisations, civic associations and prominent individuals etc to enlist them in our good cause.

Internally, let us campaign that MEDREK,the coalition of the opposition political groups CONFERS ON BERTUKAN THE FITTING TITLE OF ITS HONORARY CHAIR-PERSON in order for it to show tangible solidarity with her and also focus the struggle around her significant symbolism.
