Because of what he stands for on local, national and international issues, including human rights, some of our web visitors would like to offer support to Sen. Russ Feingold of Wisconsin on his bid for re-election. Sen. Feingold is one of the true friends of Ethiopia, a strong advocate of human rights and a forceful critic of abusive leaders in Africa. As an independent progressive thinker he is widely known for working the right thing for people on bipartisan basis. His Senate records show voting courageously for his own strong convictions, at times against his own party, and sometimes for politically unpopular ones. Currently the senator is facing a serious challenge from a Tea Party supported Republican businessman, Ron Johnson.

For those of you who are interested to know more about what he stands for or to contribute for his campaign visit http://www.russfeingold.org/.

The senator maybe a friend of Ethiopia as the author said, but till now with zero result in changing the very destructive and very hostile policy of his country USA toward Ethiopia, zero result !

Zero was also the result of the dozens of demonstrations and protests of Ethiopians in the USA in the last two decades. USA’s policy toward Ethiopia is as destructive and hostile today as it was 20 years ago.

Whoever supports the causes that support the voiceless to have a voice, he deserves to be elected.

By the way the same could be said about Barak Obama or Barry Soetoro as he is also called.
The enthusiastic support he got from Ethiopian Americans during the presidential election 2 years ago was reciprocated by even more support for the dictatorial, ethnicist and anti-Ethiopian regime of Meles Zenawi.
But surprisingly and abnormally we hear no protests or expressions of anger and disappointment from Ethiopian Americans. Some even called to support him and his party in this year’s midterm election.
