=============================

Dear President Obama,

I am writing to express my deep concern over your planned visit to Ethiopia amidst worsening human rights violations and political repressions.

As you may know, the TPLF-led ruling junta has recently declared to have “won” 100 percent of all parliamentary and regional seats. Ironically, this cruel electoral joke that has never been seen in any democratic elections, has only revealed that they have completely hijacked the whole electoral process and installed oppression as an institution. It is another testimony to the fact that the brutal minority junta has completely shut out the majority from democratically and peacefully participating in the political process of their country.

Against the backdrop of this shameless tyrannical travesty, I fear that your visit can be counterproductive as it can be misconstrued by the TPLF-led regime as your administration’s endorsement and seal of approval for the sustenance of the crimes, atrocities, abuses, extrajudicial killings, torture and corruption that they are committing with impunity.

Scores of journalists, bloggers, activists, religious, political party and civil society leaders, as well tens of thousands of ordinary citizens that have never committed any crimes, are languishing in hellish jails across the country. As a result of the land grab policy, millions of poor peasants are being displaced to give way to corrupt oligarchs and their local and foreign business partners.

A cursory look at the annual U.S. State Department human rights report can even reveal a litany of disturbing atrocities being perpetrated against defenseless civilians. “The most significant human rights problems included: restrictions on freedom of expression and association, including through arrests; detention; politically motivated trials; harassment; and intimidation of opposition members and journalists, as well as continued restrictions on print media,” the report reads.

“The government continued restrictions on activities of civil society and nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) imposed by the Charities and Societies Proclamation (the CSO law)….Other human rights problems included arbitrary killings; allegations of torture, beating, abuse, and mistreatment of detainees by security forces; reports of harsh and, at times, life-threatening prison conditions; arbitrary arrest and detention; detention without charge and lengthy pretrial detention; a weak, overburdened judiciary subject to political influence; infringement on citizens’ privacy rights, including illegal searches; allegations of abuses in the implementation of the government’s “villagization” program; restrictions on academic freedom; restrictions on freedom of assembly, association, and movement; alleged interference in religious affairs; limits on citizens’ ability to change their government; police, administrative, and judicial corruption; violence and societal discrimination against women and abuse of children; female genital mutilation/cutting (FGM/C); trafficking in persons; societal discrimination against persons with disabilities; clashes between ethnic minorities….”

All these disturbing facts are excerpted from the text of your government’s human rights report. If the United States is indeed sincere about reporting and documenting the disturbing crimes of the ruling elite, it beggars question why your administration is silently rewarding the terrorists with aid money and diplomatic support.

I understand that the United States is cooperating with the ruling junta in Ethiopia in the fight against terrorism. As far as Ethiopians are concerned, I can assure you that the TPLF and its surrogates are the only terrorists in Ethiopia that have total disregard to their own constitution and laws. Using the so-called anti-terrorism law to terrorize journalists, activists, dissidents and ordinary citizens that raise their voice against the regime’s oppressive and unjust practices, they have practically criminalized free expression.

Mr. President, during your visit to Ghana almost six years ago, you had declared: “Africa does not need strongmen, it needs strong institutions.” It is for this very reason that visiting Ethiopia, where strongmen are playing the devil, sends the wrong message to the remaining evil dictators and corrupt tyrants across the world.

I firmly believe that the long-term interests of the United States seriously compromised when it forges alliances with tyrants known for their wanton disregard to human rights, individual liberty and dignity.

It would, therefore, be prudent to reconsider your travel to Ethiopia, which can be misinterpreted as a blessing to the brutal regime which is committing crimes against humanity with direct and indirect support from the United States.

Mr. President, I would like to urge you to cancel your travel to Ethiopia, which has been turned into a giant prison because it will send a much better message that being seen shaking hands with criminals who hands are soaked with the blood of so many innocent people. If cancelling your travel is not an option for whatever reason, please help Ethiopians by delivering a strong message in support of human rights, individual liberty, justice and democracy. All political prisoners must be freed unconditionally. So many children, moms, friends and loved ones are tearfully waiting for their release.

Mr. President, stand by the oppressed people of Ethiopia. In the end, when the dictators face their inevitable fall, we are the ones who will sing your song: “Free at last, free at last. Thank God Almighty we are free at last.”

As Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. said: “In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.”

I appreciate your attention.

Best regards

The just completed election in Ethiopia that resulted in a 100% win for the ruling party clearly demonstrate the election was a dog and pony show, without any validity or credibility. In these circumstances Ethiopia is in, why would the leader of the free world wants to give legitimacy to that kind of dictatorial government. We understand that there are geo-political advantages to be gained but should that be done at the expense of 90 million people? Ethiopians generally believe that the people and government of the U.S. do understand the plight they are in and hope that they will nudge the Ethiopian ruling elite to follow a democratic path. Never did anyone imagine that an American president would travel to Ethiopia especially after the fake election that was just completed. We Ethiopian-Americans who wish to see democratic changes for the country respectfully ask the Obama Administration to reconsider the planned visit.

this is to be ignorant we have to see in different angel where Ethiopia stands at this time. for me and for most of Ethiopians Ethiopia is now better than mengistu and Haileselase. I know it has to be done a lot of things. but we have to be proud what we achieved at this time. I am not Obama fan I don’t like his policy but as the head of state if he visited Ethiopia I am not against.

Just get a life! The President is not cancelling his trip because of your unfounded “concern”. The country, Ethiopia, is becoming so vital in the global and regional affairs, it would be fatal to ignore it. Check your ego and ask yourself what your ancestors have done compare to EPRDF or as you call them TPLF. It is about time to stop calling yourself an Ethiopian – you have denounced it by your actions. Go Ethiopia, go! Go Eprdf, tplf go! I am proud that my beloved country is on the march of progress not on the path of hunger and backwardness caused by your bosses and your backward tribal politics.

Well, count me out on this one. I do not fax to make known the US president’s visit of Ethiopia sends a wrong message. let us face the fact. Given a choice between the Ethiopian government and the opposition, the Us government choose to err on the side of the government. This is a fact. With this fact being the principle that the US government operates regarding Ethiopian politics, why I waste my time faxing my disapproval of the president’s visit? I write the former question not wishing his visit not to occur. Whether the president will visit or not, it has zero impact how I value the Ethiopian government. please anybody with a little commonsense tell me why I should fax? on second thought common sense is a rare commodity in the diaspora politics. Why I am kidding myself?

    Joseph,

What you are overlooking is what they call democracy in most developing countries is actually the technique as opposed to its substance. So you can call all of them “dog and pony shows” with utmost confidence.

Take the big India for instance: By most standard indicators you can put them alongside USA democracy. They have regular elections and changes of government. The catch is in education, health, public services, clean water, sanitation etc, India scores worse than failed or failing states like Bangladesh. Why is it then democracy in India failed to deliver the services needed even though it has a “democratic” formation? It is mainly elites of ethnic groups haggle for positions of power for both central and state government using ethnic identity. So they end up hijacking “democracy” for their own benefit instead of building roads, schools, health centers etc. to the poor.

The “democracies” we see in S. Africa, Kenya, Nigeria and other places are similar to India. Obama knows that full well. So unless one is impressed with the procedure of such “elections” as opposed to its substance s/he won’t waste their breath writing Obama to teach him something new. You can ask him not to go to Africa all together period but why be so mean to the man? It is his father land; leave him alone & let him kick back a little!

    Please hear me out Ethiopians:
With the help of tplf friends like DLA Piper Law Firm, foreign billionaire land owners, Almoudi, Susan Rice, Gayle Smith…, I really think that the presidant is not getting the full story about the HORONDOUS crimes TPLF are committing on peaceful Ethiopians, in other words, the president is getting misinformed purposely about Ethiopia. I remember reading about, how tplf are telling the Obama administration and the rest of the world that, all the Ethiopisns that are protesting in US and around the world against tplf are all THE PRIVILEGED AMHARAS THAT ARE ANGRY FOR LOOSING POWER. Ethiopian journalists and all the other capable well educated Ethiopians have to make sure to spread the truths that all the opposition leaders and the rest of Ethiopian citizens are indeed from every ethnic groups and that they are dissatisfied, unhappy and totally disgusted with the most inhumane tplf regime, that is arresting and killing peaceful Ethiopians from every Ethiopian province. I don’t have anything against Dr. Berhanu, but, is he really doing enough, at least to get the truths out and to destroy the 24/7 tplf propaganda machine? Yes, tplf have all the money, but the opposition leaders have the power of the people on their sides, why not use it!!?? I’m sorry, but I’m so frustrated with the lack of progress of the opposition party leaders!

    Dawi,
Give up! Woyanes are the only ones that take your propaganda as real information to heart. There is no good exause in the world for Woyanes Mass robbery, Mass incarceration, Torture, Abuse, Mass killings of innocent Ethiopians. It’s a great shame for Obama’s legacy, if he goes ahead with his plan to visit Ethiopia, by ignoring the Human Rights Watch and the Amnesty International report on Ethiopia, and the pleading of Ethiopian citizens.

Dawi, how worthless a person you continue to be? You are comparing India’s achievements (in technology, democracy, education, and space and military technological advancement and the rest) with those of countries like Pakistan and Bangladesh. Why India has been called the largest democracy for more than half a century is not only a fact, it is also a testimony. Good governance, shared vision, accountability, democratically elected leadership, patriotism, people’s skill and likability, and many more qualities of Indian leadership and democratic values have put India in the forefront. Mr. Obama is no longer in the mind’s and heart’s of Americans and the global communities as he has exceedingly become untrustworthy president in the history of presidency in the US and else where. All that President Obama has been asked was that to practice what he has been preaching in different parts of the world, for instance, in Ghana he affirmed to the Africans and the rest that he would stand firmly with voters, not with dictators who cheat and steal the voices of the millions; therefore, the question from the global community, not Madame Wendy Sherman is that Mr. Obama must practice what he preaches. Period. This would lead us to questioning Mr. Obama, is he a man of his words?. Madame Wendy Sherman ignored all sorts of advices and suggestions from every international and national organizations and institutions and went out and met TPLF Juntas and then came back home humiliated and disgraced. Wouldn’t this be a teaching lesson to Mr. Obama? Who could possibly learn from the unforgiving mistake of Madam Wendy Sherman other than Mr. Obama? Mr. Obama, going out there and shake hands with world-known TPLF Juntas might be a fun for you, Dawi and the likes and Madame Wendy Sherman, but it is a serious matter for democracy-loving global communities. The protest, in short says, Mr. Obama, practice what you preach.

I have found it necessary to expose the lies and misinformation of the TPLF/weyanne guys such as the one with the alias `Dawi`. India is now one of the emerging economies and belongs to the group known as the BRICS that also includes Brazil,Russia,India,China and South Africa. India`s GDP/Capita is 1,498.87 USD ‎(2013).India abolished famine 4 decades ago through the `Green Revolution` and made famine history. Even the poor Bangladesh is better than TPLFs Ethiopia with a GDP/capita of 957.82 USD ‎(2013). The TPLF misruled and ravaged Ethiopia despite being the biggest recipient of alms (aid) has the GDP/Capita of 505.05 USD ‎(2013). We are aware of that this figure includes the lies and exaggerations of the TPLF. Bangladesh that also belongs to the poorest countries is better than the TPLF Ethiopia in many other socio-economic parameters. It is needless to mention the status of Nigeria and Kenya here to refute and lay bare the lies of the TPLF guy `DAWI`. We know the TPLF guys are addicted to lies and deceptions. But we should not allow these pungent lies pollute our healthy public discourses and exchanges of views on issues related to our unfortunate country and people.

Let the President of America visit Ethiopia. That does not mean an approval of anything. Ethiopia is a country worth to be visited by the leader of a World No 1. country. The visit will be a recognition for Ethiopia for its development achievements, long standing independence, home of Africans, historic relations b/n the 2 countries for many years now.
    Ethiopia’s rising is inevitable
    cheers

    Monioud and Tamiru:

Being emotional aside the best way to measure governments system is what model it implements; so if you compare similar states who took different paths you will get the clue.

One of this comparisons can be made between is between India and China, both countries are comparable in the time they have been a state, since India gained its independence in 1947 and the People’s Republic of China was proclaimed in 1949 and also in that they are populous, by 1951 India had a population of 361,090,000 and China had a population of 563,000,000 . Both have experienced a lot of growth and are highly competitive in today’s global economy.
The main difference is that India took the democratic route and China “established a one party developmental road.

The Chinese state has successfully created physical infrastructure and delivered essential services” whilst the on other side “the Indian state despite rapid economic growth has deteriorated over time. Whether it is providing basic law and order, or ensuring sanctity of contract, or delivering public services, the stench of decline is hard to ignore. They still have “untouchables” for god sake after all these years. So much for “democracy”!

I also stand by in what I said, that in education, health, public services, clean water, sanitation etc, India scores worse than failed or failing states like Bangladesh and even Ethiopia. Can you refute that?

“The core of the matter is that radical reforms in China have paved the way for economic development and a number of non-economic changes which have benefited the population and provided a decent level of living for the large majority. This could not have been done without strong leadership bent on pushing such policies, perhaps even to the point of employing coercion against opponents”.

I didn’t see TPLF writing what I said but if they do unlike you I will give them credit because it is the truth.

    Welcome Obama,speak ones!!!

    When you come to Ethiopia,
    don’t forget your promise:
There are many Dictators in Addis.
    Did you remember?
    what you said about them?
    and forgetting the people,
    swearing by Dictators name?
If you want to be one of them,
please do as fast as you wish.
It is easy to be a killer
    being destroyed like a rubbish.
Are you ready for the worst,
    to drink Ethiopian bitter blood?
    Fascist collaborators want to use

Looking at India from another perspective:

Amartya Sen, had asked ether a country that effectively denies the right to learn to read and write can justifiably call itself a democracy??

The fact is over 1/3 of females in India are illiterate; there are more illiterate females in India than in the rest of the world combined. Can you imagine that?

This is another one of the big differences between China and India: China is authoritarian but at least got its social priorities right by virtually eradicating illiteracy, investing massively in primary education, including for girls, and thereby greatly reducing poverty.

I say shame on Monioud and Tamiru ! for trying to sell us India’s type of corrupt “democracy”, to replace the ruling class of Ethiopia so that they get to play their corrupt privileges; I don’t care for that.

Author Pallavi Aiyar has written in her book Smoke and Mirrors: An Experience of China, if born rich it is better to be Indian, if born poor it is better to be Chinese.

Most Ethiopians are born poor and guess who they will want to be?

    Cheers!

  19. USA Fears Blowback
    | #19

First of all USA pays thousands of people of Ethiopian origin in Ethiopia and abroad to work for it against Ethiopian interest. The video below tells about this common practice of the USA that buys agents all over the world. The country may have hundreds of thousands or millions of foreign agents working for it right now.
That is sure one reason why TPLF managed to stay in power so long.

That said this visit by Obama is the worst in a serious of insults against Ethiopians by the declining superpower USA. We remember how the pathological liar Obama insulted us when he met TPLF puppet Hailemariam in New York last year, or when that female official from state department said in Addis Abeba elections will be fair and free shortly before the elections, and now this visit.
All that is clearly intended to insult Ethiopians. The declining superpower and its pathological liar president Obama are simply trying to insult us.
Another point is, Obama also planned to travel to Ethiopia for the OAU/AU 50 years anniversary but cancelled the plan fearing African leaders in the AU may humiliate him to revenge the murder of Gaddafi. Perhaps the AU should plan something again should the murderer of Gaddafi, one of the architects of the AU, go to Ethiopia to visit the AU.

    @ Anonymous,
    how old are you ? 14 ?
Or are you trying to insult our intelligence ?

You could be a USA government agent or a TPLF cadre.

” Ethiopia is a country worth to be visited by the leader of a World No 1. country. “, what a cheap statement. USA is no longer no. 1, is in decline and hated everywhere. The country may also have the worst history with genocides, slavery, CIA covert operations, imperialism etc.

We should not forget also that it was Obama who killed one of the architects of the AU, Gaddafi, four years ago. It is clearly an insult for the AU to be visited by such a leader. Or could it be that the AU has prepared something to thank Obama for killing one of its founders ?

    Anonymous #15,
    what an interesting comment.

“That does not mean an approval of anything. Ethiopia is a country worth to be visited by the leader of a World No 1. country. The visit will be a recognition for Ethiopia for its development achievements, long standing independence, home of Africans, historic relations b/n the 2 countries for many years now.”

Are you kidding or what ?

USA is the enemy of Ethiopia, and that at least since the late 1950s. The country that had a “legation” or embassy in Ethiopia since the early 20th century likely urged fascist Italy in the early 1930s to invade Ethiopia as soon as possible. The American spy in Ethiopia warned Italy, as Ethiopia was industrializing its economy following the Japanese example, it would be difficult for Italy to defeat Ethiopia some years later. As we know fascist Italy invaded Ethiopia in October 1935.

The country could also be behind what is known as the “Ethiopian revolution”. Very likely that the country started covert operations against Ethiopia and Haile Selassie in the late 1950s to early 1960s in response to Haile Selassies’s “anti-western” or pro-African liberation movements and pro-Pan-Africanism policies. Also in response to Haile Selassie’s role in passing the United Nations General Assembly Resolution 2758 concerning China on October 25, 1971.
The country is the top enemy of Africa and the protector and furtherer of white and western interests, such as western culture, protestantism and the english language. The country is now in decline and impoverishing.
Very likely that Africa and maybe also the largest part of the world will be cleansed from American influence, cultural and other influence.

USA has committed serious crimes against Ethiopia, Africa and other non-European races and now it can no longer be avioded that it will pay dearly for that. That like chickens come home to roost.

Why do you think guys Obama wants to travel to Ethiopia or the African Union ?

It is surely related to the American panic about its decline, about losing its power and influence to China, and it is an attempt to try to avoid what now can no longer be avioded, the downfall of America.

Obama, Africa will not support you and your country to keep its superpower status, quite the contrary, Africa will work to accelerate the downfall of the USA because the country is a top Africa enemy.

    @ Tenkolu,
revelations in recent years by heros like wikileaks, snowden and assange have exposed that USA or its NSA spies on even leaders of western NATO partners FOR DECADES ! NSA has the phone numbers of politicians like presidents, prime ministers, ministers and others of foreign countries and can listen to their communications no matter if the data is encrypted or not, as the agency can break all encryption systems.

Now with that knowledge we got from people like Snowden we can go back to the past in the USA embassy in Addis Abeba. The Americans could easily intercept all communications of Ethiopian officials and also others like the population and activists. As a result that country was uniquely in a position to start a covert operation against the ruling Haile Selassie government. It could easily find out the weak sides of the government such as the father of Kassa Kebede who resented for not have been promoted by the Emperor. So that way the country found out whom to contact to overthrow the Haile Selassie government. Later during the Derg era interception of communications surely helped the country to know which Derg official has problems with Mengistu and therefore could be easily recruited to work against the dictator.
Blessed be the likes of Assange and Snowden. Without them we would still not know about the different activities of American spy agencies, their standard operating procedure as can be seen in the video below that gives us an idea how the country facilitated and masterminded the power transfer from Derg to TPLF, etc. And that gives us an idea how the country started a covert operation decades ago in Ethiopia while giving Haile Selassie the false assurance that it regarded the regime as friend while in reality it regarded it as enemy and was working covertly to overthrow it.

The TPLF or Hodam using the alias `Dawi`is boring us with crude and rough lies. He or she is the graduate of the `Meles Zenawi School of Deceptions and Lies` but seems to lack skills in the art of lying and deceptions. I advise him to go back to the same school and acquire more skills in lying and cheating. As emerging economies, both India and China have socio-economic challenges but are tackling and resolving them with national (not ethnic focused, favoring policies and strategies)and equitable policies and strategies. Both countries still have considerable portions of rural populations and related challenges. All the deevlopment indexs (UNDP and Oxford University multidimensional indexes) show that its not fair and rational to compare Ethiopia with India or China at the moment. Ethiopia is the largest receipent of western largesse in Africa South of the Sahara. Eventhough the TPLF regime has been presenting its much `cooked statistics, data` with the help of its partners such as the World Bank and International Monetary Fund(IMF, it has not been able to deceive those of us who are keen observers. I travelled to Ethiopia last winter and spent a month there. The false facade of growth (infrastructure and TPLF owned building boom) could not hinder me from seeing the distressful poverty in Addis Ababa.
Even the world`s richest and most powerful country, the United States has socio-economic challenges. I remeber that `Dawi`s`ethnic or paymasters spoke of India as a role model and invited or attracted land grabbers from there.

There is no Obama care in Africa. Obama did not do any thing of substance to Africa. He only helped Libya become stateless and a breeding ground for Islamic caliphates, the grand child of USA’s imperialist policy. The visit of Obama is a like Hailemariam visiting another Hailemariam. Obama has passed the litmus test for being a puppet of the American White Supremacist who hate the black race in its entirety. That is why he became a president in the first place. His visit to Ethiopia is an endorsement of the Ethno-fascits woyane empire that USA helped ride to power. It is one more endorsement of the USA’s long held foreign policy premise towards Africa that America’s interest is best served through African dictators and mass murderers and not through democrats. History has regrettably recorded that the American white supremacists have never hidden their passionate support to the South African apartheid regime. It has been recorded in the long reign of racist American rulers from Nixon to Regan that USA openly and blatantly advanced its official position that Apartheid was the best thing that happened to the black race because South African blacks were, in the eyes of these black hating white supremacists, better off than their African likes. Obama is visiting another apartheid prison of the 21st century. He will meet the Tigrean Henrik Vorwords such as Debretsion, Abay, Arkebe and Sibhat along with the volunteer Buthelezi named Hailemariam. I am sure he will insult Ethiopian subjects by telling them that they are better off under Tigre apartheid rule. But no one cares to listen to his speech of immorality or visit of immorality. Ethiopians do not need USA to make history. They will make their own history. Obama will realize if he has any sense at all to that effect that he was on the wrong side of history as he has been installed to be.

    To `Dawi`
The late TPLF supreme ethnic leader and ethnical fascist Meles Zenawi has actually despicable qualities such as being a poodle and Amharo-phobic. His fascistic and divide and rule politics are also as repugnant. Professor Almariam has also appropriately described the late Zenawi as follows “Meles Zenawi, the man singularly responsible for the incarceration of Reeyot and Birtukan will be remembered in history not only the apotheosis of evil, but also a miserable and wretched human being. “Foul as it is, hell itself is made fouler by the presence of Meles Zenawi!”

    Adem,

What Prof. Al Mariam call “the Trinity” of Susan Rice, Gayle Smith and Wendy Sherman or the Joseph Stiglitz’s and the Jeffery Sachs for that matter, didn’t call Meles a “world-class mind” just because he was a master of fluffy stuff in politics or just a dogma theoretician in academia.

He was known as the prime EPRDF’s collective leadership and chief economic theoretician alright but, what makes him unique is he used “theories” only to assemble evidence and argument bent on the realities of armed struggle and development of the real world.

He achieved running 10 % annual growth of country for most of that decade and attempted to make sure the hegemony of his “theory” behind the development stay for long; while doing that, dealings with those who oppose can’t be expected to be a cake walk. Can it?

Unlike Prof. Al, I wouldn’t conclude he failed the outcome for “democracy” even with the negative handling of Bertukan and Reeyot as they are continuing their struggle with new vigor as we speak.

    A luta continua!

The truth is that the Tigrean intellectuals worship their supreme ethnic leader, the late Meles Zenawi as shown by their deeds and propaganda pieces. This is what Dr. Teodros Kiros is engaged in as his payment of tribute to his late supreme ethnic leader. The blind followers and worshipers of the supreme ethnic leader, the group that also includes the so called intellectuals, believe that he has risen and is still leading Ethiopia and Africa. When the death of the supreme leader was mad public, I heard the Tigrean intellectuals I know blaming the Amharas. They believe that the sudden, untimely and early death of their supreme leader was caused by the evil Amhara spirit. All this demonstrates the great extent to which the anti-Amhara sentiment has spread and taken root in the Tigrean society. There is no doubt that this deep seated hatred against the Amharas is the great legacy of the supreme ethnic leader. No wonder that Dr.Teodros Kiros and the other Tigrean intellectuals can not cleanse or rid themselves of their hatred against the Amharas without the help and support of Ethiopians. The curing and rehabilitation of the Tigrayan society so poisoned and infected with the Amhara hatred will be more demanding and challenging than overcoming poverty and underdevelopment in Ethiopia.

    @ KRS,
    thanks for the interesting video.

I am 100% sure that west-based Ethiopian media organisations like ESAT would not broadcast or spread such video because of their huge fear of the American government. And as this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eaPwqokBn9M
video shows, where an American General threatens to put “disloyal Americans” in internment camps, that fear is justified. Interestingly they never talk about that fear, not even to warn listeners, viewers or readers like “due to limitations related to their status as guests in the USA they can not tell the whole story about the issue at hand.” They never say such things, which is irresponsible because the readers are led to assume that they are telling the whole story.

Because of that fear they also dont defend Ethiopia when the country is attacked by the Americans and company.

All in all a difficult situation.

What happened to Obama, what happened to USA ?

Obama appears unwelcome wherever he travels. He bows to foreign leaders and he is called ape. He is reported to have said: “We have to twist arms when countries don’t do what we need them to do”, undiplomatic.

    http://newpittsburghcourieronline.com/2014/03/25/belgium-newspaper-apologizes-for-depicting-potus-first-lady-as-apes/

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/picturegalleries/worldnews/6581748/US-President-Barack-Obama-bowing-to-the-Emperor-of-Japan-and-other-political-greetings.html

According to reports from Ethiopia he is not welcome in the country. Okay one can understand the reaction of the Ethiopian population because he travelled to legitimize a hated and tyrannical regime. Actually his travel is an insult to 90 million Ethiopians.

But why do such things happen ? Does Obama want to destroy the reputation and prestige of USA ?
