This clip remindes me of The orthodox priest and Dr Hailu Araya giving Mengistu a warning to change his way I can clearly see the son of Dedebit is on his way out!this time to the gutter.

This brave young man “The Proud Son of Ethiopia” reminded me a video clip I once watched with a friend about a man called Dr. Hailu Araya confronting the most feared man of his era Col. Mengistu Haile Mariam while he was in power. It was almost envisioning the biblical scripture as Mosses stood before Pharos and to challenge the evil throne.

This clip is a reminder to all us that despite countless traitors such as Hailu Shawel, Ledetu other immoral citizens, Ethiopia has some brave men and women who are willing to give their life for freedom and democracy.

To the Unknown Brave Man on the vedio,
I salute you where ever you may be !

    Ye Ethiopia Amlak Yetebekeh !

This intellictual is one of the rare Ethiopian breed. He did not care about Melese’s agazi or security force. He said what is right and he did not expect any answer from the devil. He already knew what Melese’s response would be.

Ethiopian needs heroic sons like him. I salute his mom and dad for giving this type person to us.

…. The funiest thing I found here is that he said it all what he wanted to say even insult the PM and then he said “Don’t answer ‘coz I know what you gonna say…” Hahahahaha…. if he doesn’t allow the PM to speak on his turn and blaming him as a dictator or whatever ….. then what is the difference between them….. Plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz… let’s not be emotional …..

I remember this show. The smart PM beginns by saying “… How could we possiblly discuss about democracy and free speach by saying that don’t say anything ‘coz I know what you gonna say before you speak..” And I remember how he felt sad (ashemed of the person)….

May God bless all of us and watch over us!

    “Yashiqu”,
You said you have been there at this discussion. From your opinion I understood that you are a strong defender of the evil dictator. There must have been a lot of AGAZI security in such an event, I wonder if you have been one of those? You have been badly wrong to state that the scholar has been ashamed at the time.
A brutal dictator can’t lecture about democracy
free speech or justice since he is violating the very meaning to just stay in power by any means. He has got people’s blood on his hands, not only in Ethiopia but now in Somalia too. The scholar is a brave and genuine human being who is humble & intelligent as well. I’m afraid for his safety if at all hi is still at home. He must be proud to tell the truth and wish his people good in such difficult circumstances even if it could have coasted him his life. We know the dictator and his “information minister” were and are still spreading lies to the Ethiopian people and the foreigners. They have to be ashamed for their atrocious deeds and not the brave scholar.
”Yashiq” could also join the shame machine.

    Ethiopia shall prevail!

He is one of the most fearless Ethiopian scholars of our time. Let alone in Ethiopia, many in the Daispora fear the shadow of TPLF terrorists because they think they are following them every where they go.

This young fearless Prof. is the true son of Ethiopia who does not give a damen to a dictator who terrorizes over 70 million ppl.

    He is my hero….

  15. | #15

Can you tell me when is the megalomaniac and egocentric leader will go back home.

  16. | #16

What great man. I am shock and surprise to see him telling one the most merciless dictator in the work how he runs the country. Does this brave man know the consequences of his action? If so, I wonder what he was thinking when he said those words. I think in my opinion he was willing to give his life, work or what ever the case may be for the good of the nation. My wish and hope is for those selfish opposition leader to learn something from this great man; my advise to you is give some thing up whether it is your dignity or power for the good of the nation.

who is Melese to be afraid of anyways and ye chakka geriba

  19. | #19

    Yashiqu,

I don’t think we are watching the same clip. The man was asking the dictator Meles to be kind to the nation; matter of fact, he was begging him for kindness, so what the hell is got to do with free speech. He knew what kind of person the dictator meles is and he told him like it is. Let me ask you one question Yashiqu; example, your father is a mean person, he is beating your brother, sister and mother all the time and you decided to ask him to be kind to your mother and siblings because the faith of your whole family is on his hand. Do you really want to know what is going to say? Personally, I know what that brutal person is going to say; he is going to say they are bad that is why he is beating them.

    Sami,

Of course we are watching the same clip. What I want to say is that as long as it’s a dialogue, the speaker shouldn’t tell to the PM not to answer him. For me it’s like a forshadow that if the person have the chance to be on the PM seat he will gonna say to his people.

My Ethiopian family please lets all of us stand for what we believe. Our fellow Ethiopian brother expressed his believe using God given rights knowing that what the dictator will do to him.How ever he stood for what he believed. Let stop talking and stand for what we believe on to help our people and our country. He is a good model to follow but talking about him doesn’t bring solution but following his foot step will create more brave Ethiopian who will stand for themselves and for his people.

I think I have seen this debate live. Meles, I remember, said you can not deprieve me of my right to answer questions.

The part missing is that this guy said “Mr. Meles the ball is at your side. You can either tose it handle it nice” kind of thing.

I personaly know this guy, being an observer for the trivial party in the past election.

He is a guy of principles and directness. He is a real hero and true Ethiopian, Son of his People.

He is the man of his belive! Most of us see that clearly, May God be with him. Do any one know where he is about now? Is there any one knows his name, some one went school together, lived the same area, took his class in University,….Please find him to tell us about “Kinijit” too. We need a prophet to tell us what is coming forth. Ethiopia need “Jegna” and we need to know who is coming next…
Why don’t you help us in bringing the whole meeting so that we will exploit the grand idea.
