This is a real story and I am proud of Serkalem . She deserves the recognition for her courage and sacrifice that she endured with her unborn baby.

It broke my heart when she told her unborn baby to endure the hunger and suffering.
    God bless Serkalem’s family.

Don’t you think Meles Zenawi is worse than Hitler? Hitler did not do this type of crime against his own people.

Shaw on those of you who support the worst criminal, Zewawi

Speaking of Democracy and Majority rule,

We oromos still systematically forced to speak Amaras minority language within our own territory, is`s that what we call cultural domination and cultural supression ?

“Ethiopias national language should immediatelly be changed from Amaras minority langauge (Amharic)to ethiopias Majority (Afaan Oromoffiaa).”

Thank you for IWMF for honoring Serkalem for her courageous stance for the cause of freedom of speech and democracy in Ethiopia.

I also pay my tribute for for Serkalem and her husband who, despite their suffering, are unbent and even more determined in their noble fight for the truth to be proclaimed unsullied by the lies of Zenawi’s dictatorship.

Every one of us should be jubilant that the cause of democracy in Ethiopia is already won thanks to the presence of steely fighters like Serkaelm and others who are willing to give all, including one’s dearest life, to make such cause a reality. By contrast, the power-monger Zenawi and the people who now surround him are motivated only by mercenary gains; they are corrupt, immoral and no match to these noble and selfless soldiers of democracy who scoff even at death.

When you have an opponent,Mr dictator, that dedicates not just her own life but also lays the life of her newly born one as a pleasing sacrifice on the altar of freedom, this must be a day of reckoning for you!
