Kinijit Support in Minnesota (KSM) held vigil light at Mihaha Park in the memory of the Martyrs of democracy in Ethiopia. In May of 2005 following the electoral defeat the Woyanne regime not only carried massive arrest of opposition leaders, journalists, ordinary citizens, students etc. It also killed hundred of people who demonstrated demanding the government to respect the election out come. An inquiry commission called the government action a massacre. KSG vowed their determination and commitment to support the struggle of Ethiopians for democracy, human right, economic justice. KSG will work hard with all democratic forces in the Diaspora and also calls on people that cherish freedom and oppose injustice to support the struggle of Ethiopians in demanding the unconditional release of Kinijit leaders from Kaliti.
