MOGADISHU, Somalia (AP) — An explosion in southwestern Somalia killed four EthiopianWoyanne troops and the subsequent gunfire killed two civilians, witnesses said Tuesday.

Local resident Asha Madey Abdi said the explosion Monday afternoon in Baidoa, 155 miles southwest of the capital, also wounded two EthiopianWoyanne soldiers.

Sheik Muqtar Roble said the EthiopianWoyanne troops had opened fire after the explosion, killing two civilians and wounding another two. It was not clear what caused the blast.

EthiopianWoyanne troops supporting the shaky transitional government come under daily attack from Islamic insurgents, whom they kicked out of the capital in December 2006. The insurgents, who vow to fight an Iraq-style insurgency, receive support from Ethiopia’s archenemy Eritrea.

Somalia has not had a functioning government since 1991. It is impoverished, riven between warring clans and awash with weapons.

Abugida is doing a good job.The first indication that you are with Ethiopian loving Ethiopians is that you have started using the detested word called Woyane. keep on using it. Use the word like fx.the woyane army, the woyane government etc. If you love our mother land ETHIOPIA, keep on using this D…. word until these anti ETHIOPIAN thugs will be removed from our mother land Ethiopia either by force or my peaceful way .I prefer the first option. plese forget about the second option. we have tried it. It doesen’t work. I would rather remove the woyane thugs by force. Therefore I have prefered the first option./ the armed struggle just like our forefathers. That is the only way we could demolish these unwanted thugs from our ancesterial land called ETHIOPIA. Time will be with us one day / with Ethiopian loving Ethiopans.
    ETHIOPIA TIKEDM/ ETHIOPIA FIRST!
    Long live mother ETHIOPIA
    I love ETHIOPIA.
    Regards

Let us hear to our Honorable human rights defender Mr. Obang Meto’s call for the may 15th worldwide rally and our slogans should sound as follows:
    1) Let the world knows about Ethiopian hidden genocide!
    2) World court at Hague please investigates the unjust massacre of over 150,000 young soldiers over the border conflict of the years 1998-2000.
    3) Melese Zenawi and his TPLF party have ordered the massacre of over 200 people in Addis for they used their basic rights to peacefully demonstrate to tell the world that democracy has been reversed in Ethiopia by the use of force.
    4) UN, World court, European parliament please investigate the over 400 Anuaks massacre of 1983 which was admitted by Human right groups.
    5) Please investigate the killing of University students in Addis
    6) Investigate the killing in Oromia, Gonder, Awasa, Areusi, Ogaden
    8) Release over 40,000 Ethiopians who are still in prisons of TPLF in different parts of Ethiopia.
    9) Stop the massacre in Somalia. “Weyane army”, get out of Somalia!
    10) Investigate the looting of Ethiopia by TPLF, and the stilling of Ethiopian Gold.
    11) Release the Ethiopian beloved son “TEDI AFRO”, and stop the revenge against him and Ethiopia. Fair trial if he have been guilty .Free unless proven guilty beyond reasonable doubt
    12) We condemn any kind of extremism, but stop massacring poor civilians under the slogan “WAR ON TERRORISM”.

Abugida, be independent. Do not mimick ER. The soldiers that are in Somalia are ethiopian soldiers. They are professionals. So let us not make them scapegoat for the ill conceived policies of the weyane leaders. can’t you learn from the americans ? The invasion of Irak was a big blunder and a big mistake. It is the responsibility of Bush and also the people who voted for Bush. The US army has nothing to do with it. They are following orders. Look how they are respected by both democrats and republicans.

I think it is unwise to associate the Ethiopian Defense Forces with the leaders. If we want to bring change in Ethiopia we have to bring this force into our side. So please do not be PRO-ONLF , PRO-SEPARATISTS and be for ETHIOPIA. Please DO NOT GENERALIZE AND BE A MATURED WEBSITE. I think for you to be a forster child of ER does not help you.

    Tazabi,

It ssems you are confused!! No Ethiopian Soldier kill innocent civilians, rape women and children, slash children throats. This is a woyanne army, not ethiopian army. Telling the truth does not make one mimick ER.

    Go Abugida!!

For the first time in her history the ‘just’ Ethiopia who was all alone by herself when the Mussolini fascist thugs and Mussollini’s black slave soldiers attacked her in 1935/36 and Ras Teferi made that moving speech at the league of nations…now the same Ethiopia slashing the throats of innocent civilians in Somalia? I don’t think so.

It must be the same Weyane AGAZI who slashed throats of innocent Ethiopians in Arba Minch, Awassa, Ambo, Addis Ababa… just to mention the places whose names start with the letter ‘A’… that is doing the same to Somalians now.
