There Is No Justice In Ethiopia – Joe Michael

The Kangaroo court of Ethiopia has delivered yet another unmerited verdict. (more…)

The Kangaroo court of Ethiopia has delivered yet another unmerited verdict. This time, it is against the most popular singer Teddy Afro, who was falsely, based on the evidence submitted by the prosecutor, accused of a hit and run crime. The singer has been accused of hitting and killing a homeless man and has been imprisoned without a bail for close to a year.

As the trial clearly demonstrated, the prosecutor of the case was unable to prove the crime of the accused without a reasonable doubt. The witness against the accused and the evidence submitted in the trial contradict that the date the reported crime took place and the deceased date of the victim on the hospital death certificate were divergent. Moreover, the accused constitutional rights were violated and some of the evidence that were permitted in the trial were fabricated.

In light of the clear incapability of the prosecutor to prove the accused crimes, the court, with its premeditated plot, gave emphasis to circumstantial evidence, which was false hypothesis submitted by the prosecutor.

The court knows that the accused has neither guilty mind (Mens rea) nor the guilty act (Actus reus) he was falsely accused for was evidently proved. The court knows that the crime was not proved beyond a reasonable doubt. The court also knows that more rigorous test was needed to determine whether the evidence submitted by the prosecutor was sufficient to convict the accused.

It is an apparent fact that Teddy’s trial was influenced by politics as he was deprived of his constitutional rights from the very beginning. He was accused and arrested without bail based on fabricated evidence, and now convicted while there is a reasonable doubt. Teddy is known for criticizing the government through his music’s. He was patriot, kind and a loyal citizen. The court had no other cause for the false conviction rather than Teddy’s different political view and patriotism.

What the biased judges did to him, however, is another unambiguous proof that there
is no impartial judiciary system in Ethiopia. Obviously, that implies that there is
no justice at all.

May God be with him.

It`s a wonderful case to review we shouldn`t be emotional in deciding on the matter let the judge forward his final verdict without prejudice.

Joe Michael used this pen name or he might be a foreigner doesn’t matter. What matters is the truth and the truth is that there is no justice in Ethiopia. The judiciary system is not free and in “Tedy Afro’s” case the court gave a verdict without proving the fundamental rules of law which says “One could not be guilty until proven guilty without reasonable doubt”, in the mentioned case there were a lot of reasonable doubts that he committed the crime. So logically thinking he is in prison for political purpose, for he stood for UNITY of Ethiopia, FREEDOM and love of his country, through his beautiful touchy songs!
Thank you Mr. Joe Michael, for your article.

Woyyanie Doberman are ready to bit when their kangaroo court crime is exposed. Do not panic, the judgment day is coming for one and all criminal woyannies. You may hide on one thing or another but the criminal junta you married for good is going down. Where would you go and hide with your blood stain hand, the law will follow you to your grave. Make sure you do not get implicated for the crime of your bosses. The day of criminals hiding one place or another is over. No safe heaven for genocidal maniacs and terrorist.

It’s a tragedy that there are so many petty minded people who are more concerned about names instead of the unending nightmare and suffering being enduring through the brutal leadership, abuse of human rights, and sheer lack of justice being perpetrated against the Ethiopian people!

Only idiots would worry about what name is being used by the writer.

Focus on the issue: the brutality suffered by the Ethiopian people and what you can do about it.

why these woaynes donkeys making too much noise here, Teddy Afro is an Ethiopian hero, and he did not commit such horrendous crime, woaynes killed that poor homeless man and set Teddy for crime he never commit, this is typically woaynes’s vendetta, politically motivated because Teddy keep singing…no doubt about it
