I wonder how much the desperate diaspora is paying to lobby this or other members of congress???? One hip hop artist compared politicians with strippers, why? because they will strip for you as long as you are paying them….you got it.

The confused diaspora could have build a school or a clinic with that money. We and only we can solve our problem, not the U.S congress or anybody.

Drop the “LAM ALEGN BESEMAI” dream and do something positive for your country.

Geremew, we can not help our country without the will of the government and the first step to help an African country is to fight for the establishment of democracy. Your TPLF has dragged the country years back due its unwanted wars and its careless handling of the HIV epedemics in Ethiopia. Even Mosovinni of Uganda has helped control AIDS there unlike Mr Zenawi whose soldiers use uncleaned raser to shave their thousands of young political prisoners. Geremew, I bet the reason you support these killers is either you have an ethnocentric bias to TPLF or you are just someone who is associated with the mafia government and has a philosophy of “who care about others if I am alright”. If you really put an effort to think, there is more better things than to just live for yourself…think the big picture…Ethiopians – your people!!!

    Thx Congresswoman,
Our struggle for freedom never stops, though bitter, until we free our elected leaders and secure democracy and rule of law in Ethiopia…and condemn and say goodbye to zergninet and zeregnoch once and forever

    Ye-Ethiopia lij:

U need to change ur name to `ye US congress men lij` b/c u r expecting them/US congress men/ to bring democracy in Ethiopia ,like your leaders who r trying the same thing again and again: corresponding with US congress men to achieve democracy in Ethiopia. May be it is a fun for them, keeping themselves busy with it.

But that is not a fun for an Ethiopian farmer. Can any body tell me if there is a single farmer in Ethiopia who wants the US not to give an aid to Ethiopia? I am not saying that the farmer is selling his freedom for an aid. But i am confident enough that an Ethiopian farmer will pay his life if there is a serious problem of democracy in Ethiopia. It is the farmer who fought against the Derg, not diaspora.

The current Ethiopians majority`s problem is poverty. No diaspora Kingit`s doctors and professors have been saying on Ethio economy.

Casanova, first of all you are one of the Hodams who are pulling our people behind!! You probably survive on the opression of our people. We did not receive aid during the dergue and we were fine except the famine in 77′ – our people are still hungry to be real even with the billions of dollars of aid pouring from the West.

IT HAS BEEN SAID MANY TIMES THAT ETHIOPIA”S PROBLEM IS LEADERSHIP, THEREFORE, WE NEED A DEMOCRATIC SYSTEM WHERE OUR PEOPLE ELECT OUR LEADERS!! DO NOT DIVERT ATTENTION FROM OUR REAL PROBLEM – THE REFUSAL OF TPLF TO ALLOW DEMOCRACY IN ETHIOPIA BASICALLY LEAVING THE SACRIFICE OF ETHIOPIANS’ BLOOD IN VAIN! BANDAS LIKE YOU DIE STUCK TO THEIR SELFISH WAYS!! AND THAT WILL BE VERY SOON!

I am leaving in a part of our planet where know is Friday night. I could`t understand what u r trying to say about. R u trying to tell me that everything was fine during the Derg`s time except the drought our people had in the 77`s? Make your point clear please. Even your block letters could`t make your point clear.
